In-person psychotherapy

In-person therapy for children, teens, and adults

In-person psychotherapy with Dr. Armbrust offers a calm, supportive space to work through what is hard — for children, teens, and adults. Younger children are met through play therapy, a developmentally natural way for them to express and process what they cannot yet put into words. Sessions take place by appointment in Jacksonville.

Who it is for

Support across the whole family, at every age

Therapy is tailored to the person and the moment. It may be a good fit for:

  • Younger children who benefit from play-based therapy
  • School-age children and teens navigating anxiety, mood, behavior, or big transitions
  • Adults working through anxiety, stress, life change, trauma, or social difficulties
  • Families who want support with a child’s behavior, communication, or relationships

How therapy works here

Warm, evidence-informed, and matched to the person

Individual psychotherapy

One-on-one therapy for children, teens, and adults, drawing on approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and adapted to each person’s age and goals.

Play therapy for younger children

For young children, play is the language of therapy. Play therapy provides a safe, structured way to express feelings, build coping skills, and work through difficult experiences.

Family therapy & parent consultation

Support for parents and families working through behavior, communication, and connection, so change is reinforced at home.

Focused on your goals

The work starts with listening. Together you clarify what matters most, and the approach is shaped around it — never one-size-fits-all.
